OK, OK, what am I going on about. Losing weight? That's got nothing to do with crafting. Well, here's how you do it......
Take one biscuit tin left over from Christmas and empty out the biscuits. At this point either scoff all the biscuits in one sitting and then you don't need to worry about THOSE biscuits anymore OR make some Rocky Road out of all your old chocs and biscuits from Christmas. Or make a Key Lime Cheesecake with said biscuits and share with friends and family (this is the weight loss bit).
Next, clean out the biscuit tin of all the crumbs (oh look it's me with my little red camera).
After that, cover the outside of the bottom half of the tin in your favourite paper (Cosmo Cricket).
Then cover the top, again with your favourite papers (Studio Calico) and decorate.
Fill with sewing supplies (notice my little red polka dot needle book that I made. It's not going to win any prizes but it's still cute).
.. you just know, don't you that I would have eaten them :) ... mind you if I could have this scrummy finished tin of yours, it would make up for the weight gain LOL What a great idea ... and most impressed with your little red polka dot needle case.
ReplyDeleteA great idea for keeping everything in it's place. I'm still searching for my sewing scissors that disappeared a week ago. Just how did you manage to cover the top so perfectly? Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI just drew around the lid and then made it a little smaller, cut it out and then stuck with double sided tape....simples!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you end up doing with all those biscuits?!?! LOL Great work on the tin, it looks fab!
ReplyDeletea great project, think I would scoff the lot lol
ReplyDeleteWow! I have a load of coffee bean tins and I really should do something with them, now I've seen this I'm feeling all inspired!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazingly nifty project.
