Here's a little something I made for a friend for Christmas. It's OK, she is 'crafty' herself and is a brilliant sewer, so did appreciate my efforts. I accompanied the box with a little World War II 'Make Do and Mend' book that gave great ideas like.....Make new knickers out of your husbands shirts.....How to reinforce or repair your gussets (because these are the first to go apparently) and The importance of repairing the elastic in your undergarments straight away. There did seem to be a bit of an obsession about your underwear.
Inside the box (recycled from my hubby's childhood badge box) I placed some of the handmade buttons on vintage button/elastic cards (a download from The Craft Stamper Magazine online blog) and a wheel of coloured tip pins.
Its gorgeous and PML at the hints and tips - will be keeping anj eye on my elastic and gussets from now on LOL :D
