Down and Dirty!

Yes I with millions of other British scrappers, card makers and general crafty people have jumped on the band wagon shouting ' I want to play too'. What am I rabbiting about I hear you say?....getting down and dirty distressing, splodging, stamping and blending with the Tim Holtz range of course. To be fair I have often admired the whole distressing/art journal/altered style of crafting but not knowing where to begin with it the nearest I have come is a little sanding, ripping and inking. So with his new book and the QVC tsv in my hot little mits and a timely visit to Stamperarma at Stevenage on Saturday I had a play.

These are a few tags ready for a tag swap arranged by the Scraphappens team on UK Scrappers. I still have some more to do and have to add a photo and some info about me on the back. But I am pretty pleased with myself at my first attempts and just LOVE the Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit stamp and just know this is going to be a well used stamp in the future. The inks I used are all Tim Holtz distressing inks in Barn Door, Brushed Corduroy, Shabby Shutters and Spiced Marmalade (don't you love the names?). I covered a selection of Alphas in an old dictionary page, ink and Glossy Accents. Then finished with a slick of Hard Candy Stickles around the edges.
